Dan Sell is Principal of Dansumur Consulting LLC. He is an HR professional, executive, and consultant with over thirty years of extensive leadership and senior level management experience. He has worked in both public and privately held companies in various service and manufacturing industries, which include pharmaceuticals, engineering and engineering services, transportation, industrial distribution, chemical, and industrial and commercial construction products manufacturing.
In 2003 Dan was recognized as the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year, which is sponsored by seven SHRM chapters representing over 5,000 HR professionals in the greater Philadelphia area. He has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for over thirty years. Dan is Past President, current member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the Succession Planning and Nomination Committee of the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association, an affiliated SHRM Chapter. In 1995 he was recognized by Tri-State with its Life Membership award. He attained his professional certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) in 1990 and holds a Life Certification. Dan is an instructor for the Professional Human Resource Certification Preparation Course sponsored by the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship of the Rohrer School of Business at Rowan University, and has served in that role since 1996. He has been a guest lecturer on Human Resource Management for both the MBA and undergraduate programs at Rowan University and Rutgers University – Camden.
Dan holds a BA in History from Juniata College, and has represented the college as a member of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Council, a Juniata Admissions Volunteer, and member of the Career Advisory Team. He is a member of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group (GPSEG). Dan has spoken to both professional organizations and college classes on a variety of human resource management and business topics
